Fordham Women's 4x800 Relay Takes 15th, Men 16th, at Penn Relays

Philadelphia, Pa. - The Fordham University's and women's outdoor track squads closed out competition at the 2010 Penn Relays as each competed in the 4x800 relay. The Fordham women placed 15th in their race while the men took 16th.

The women's squad of Kerri Gallagher, Kelly Connolly, Kerry Kwalwasser and Catherine Groene placed 15th overall in an ECAC qualifying time of 9:09.70.

The men's 4x800 of Tim Hutchinson, Brian Schmidt, John Cosgrove and Kevin Fitzgerald was second in its heat and 16th overall in an IC4A qualifying time of 7:40.35.

The men's and women's outdoor track teams will next be in action next Saturday, May 1st, as they compete at the 2010 Atlantic 10 Outdoor Championships held at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, Mass.
