St. Louis, Mo. - The Fordham University women's tennis team closed out its 2010 season with a 4-2 win over St. Bonaventure University at the 2010 Atlantic 10 Championships at the Kingsport Tennis Club on Saturday. The Rams received points from singles wins by Bethany Boyle, Taylor Holt and Elizabeth Stall as well as picking up the doubles point.

The match opened with Fordham taking the doubles point, winning two of the three matches. Boyle and Holt defeated Manuela Marin-Salcedo and Kathryn Kvas at second doubles, 9-7, while at third doubles Martina Featherston and Stall shutout Kalia Garia-Rojas and Riley Archer, 8-0.

In singles play, Boyle, Holt and Stall each won in straight sets. Boyle took third singles from Kvas (6-2 and 6-1), Holt was victorious at the fifth spot over Garia-Rojas (6-4 and 6-2) and Stall took sixth singles from Archer (6-1 and 6-0).

Tremaine dropped the first set to Marin-Salcedo, 7-5, and was tied in the second, 4-4, when play was halted as the Rams clinched the match.

Others singles players for the Rams included Featherston, who fell at second singles, and Mullen, who lost at fourth singles.
