NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - Fordham's Jamie LaBovick (Peoria, Ariz./ Sunrise Mountain) was named Co-Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week by officials from the conference on Monday, April 12 after her .583 performance in the Rams' 4-0 week against Manhattan and Saint Louis.

The freshman infielder/pitcher led the Rams at the plate last week with her 7-for-12 (.583) average, seven hits and four runs. LaBovick had a .667 average against Saint Louis in Atlantic 10 action, helping the Rams to a two-game sweep of the Billikens. In the second game, LaBovick was a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and an RBI.

LaBovick also earned a win at the circle for the Rams, pitching four innings against Manhattan in the second game of the twin bill (April 6). The freshman is now 3-1 on the season.

The accolade is LaBovick's second this season. She shares this week's honor with Deanna Stinner from St. Joseph's.
