Fordham's Pink Zone Game Scheduled For Feb. 16

The Fordham women's basketball team will be joining schools across the nation in support of the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Pink Zone initiative. The team has designated the Feb. 16 matchup against Saint Louis their annual "Pink Zone" game.

The Pink Zone is a global, unified effort for the WBCA nation of coaches to assist in raising breast cancer awareness on the court, across campuses, in communities and beyond.

All fans that wear pink to the game will be admitted FREE! If you don't own a pink shirt, be one of the first 250 people to enter the gate to either game and receive a FREE pink t-shirts, rally towel and pom-pom! A $2 door donation to the Kay Yow/WBCA Cancer FundTM is suggested.

Kay Yow, North Carolina State University head women's basketball coach, is a past president and founding member of the WBCA and was a galvanizing voice for the Association. After battling three different stints with breast cancer, Yow passed away on January 24, 2009.

The Feb. 16 game against Saint Louis is slated for a 7 p.m. tip-off at Rose Hill. To purchase tickets to either game, call the ticket office at Fordham Athletic Ticket Office by calling 718-817-4300.
