Game Notes

The Rams enter the game with a 5-4 record after defeating St. John's, 84-81, in the Rose Hill Gym on December 11th, the Rams' third straight win and their first over the Red Storm since 2000. Kennesaw State enters the game with a 2-7 record after falling to Lipscomb, 99-73, in Nashville on Saturday, the Owl's eighth straight loss.

Fordham will be guided into the game by first-year head coach Tom Pecora, who arrived at Rose Hill in March after nine successful seasons as the head coach at Hofstra where he averaged 20 wins during the past six years.

On the court, Fordham is led by sophomore Chris Gaston and senior Brenton Butler. Gaston has posted a double-double in seven of the first nine games and is averaging 15.4 ppg and 12.9 rpg while Butler, who has scored more than 20 points in each of the past three games, is leading the team and is ranked sixth in the Atlantic 10, averaging 16.9 ppg. Freshman guard Branden Frazier, a product of Bishop Loughlin High School in Brooklyn, is off to a good start, averaging 11.7 ppg.

Wednesday's game will be the second meeting between the Rams and the Owls on the hardwood. Kennesaw State won the first matchup, 79-66, in Georgia last December.

Come out and support your Rams on Saturday night!
