Bridgeport, Pa. -
The Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) announced its weekly awards and honor roll this afternoon, as Fordham's Ryan Hultman (Newport Beach, Calif./Corona del Mar) was named Northern Division Offensive Player of the Week. It is his second career weekly award.
Overall, Hultman is the third Ram to receive a CWPA weekly accolade, joining Victor Bautista Medina (Oct. 27) and Christian Flessner (Oct. 14), who were both Defensive Player of the Week earlier in the year.
Hultman was a one-person wrecking crew in Fordham's regular season finale against Iona on October 27th. He netted a game-high six goals to go with three assists and a block, as the Rams went on to a 13-11 win.
Overall, Hultman is third on the team with 26 goals this season, and second in overall points with 43, while leading the squad with 37 steals.
Hultman and the rest of the Rams (14-13, 4-3) will next be in action on November 6-7 as they compete at the Northern Division Championship in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The Rams are the fourth seed at the Championship and match up with fifth-seeded Harvard at 10:30 AM in their first game.
