Fordham Soccer Teams Honored with NSCAA Team Academic Award

Kansas City, Kansas - The National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) has announced its 2010 Team Academic Award winners this past week. Among those honored were both the Fordham men's and women's soccer teams for having a team GPA of 3.0 or higher for the 2009-10 academic year.

Fordham was one of three Atlantic 10 schools to have its men's and women's soccer programs honored, joining Dayton and Richmond, and one of 125 schools nationally.

On the men's side, Fordham was one of 194 men's soccer teams to receive the NSCAA Team Academic Award, posting a team GPA of 3.17. Fordham joined fellow Atlantic 10 institutions, Dayton, Duquesne, Richmond and Temple, on the list.

For the women, Fordham was one of 436 teams honored with the team academic award with a team GPA of 3.34. Fordham joined fellow Atlantic 10 institutions, Charlotte, Dayton, George Washington, La Salle, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Richmond St. Bonaventure, and Saint Louis on the list.
