Clifton, N.J. - The Fordham golf team finished play in its final tournament of the fall season at FDU Invitational on Tuesday, as the team rallied to shoot a second day score of 304 to finish second out of seven teams.
The Rams, with a two-day total of 634, were only bested by Robert Morris, which scored 620 over the tournament. Fordham was followed by Monmouth (638), Fairleigh Dickinson (638), Wagner (661), Hofstra (661), and St. Francis (NY) (674).
Individually, Fordham's Jason Del Rosso was unable to hold on to his one-shot lead, heading into the final round. Robert Morris' Brock Pompeani shot a final round of 73 to go with a 79 for a winning score of 152. Del Rosso shot back-to-back rounds of 77 for a score of 154 to finish second.
Besides Del Rosso, Brody Nieporte tied for 13th overall with a score of 161 (81-80), followed by Devon O'Rourke (82-80) and Ryan Donahue (90-72), who both tied for 16th with a score of 162, while Connor Monaghan also broke the top 20, tying for 19th at 165 (88-77). Donahue's round of 72 was the low round of the day on Tuesday.
