Following the conclusion of the Phoenix Classic on Sunday, tournament officials have selected Fordham University junior guard Becky Peters (Plainsboro, N.J./West Windsor-Plainsboro South) to the All-Tournament team.
Peters had a strong opening weekend for the women's basketball team, averaging 15 points, five rebounds, 3.5 steals, and three assists in two games. She opened the tournament with 18 points, five rebounds, and three assists, while tying a career-high with six steals against Elon.
She then took over the point guard responsibilities in game two against Stony Brook, leading the Rams to an 81-73 victory. Peters netted 12 points, five rebounds, and three assists against the Seawolves, helping Fordham crack the 75-point barrier on offense in back-to-back games for the first time since the opening two games of the 2002-03 season.
Peters and the rest of the Rams (1-1) return to action on Wednesday, November 17th, when the team has its home opener against the Bucknell Bison at 7:00 PM in the Rose Hill Gym.
