The Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) announced its weekly awards and honor roll this afternoon, as both junior J.D. Shrewsbury (Town & Country, Mo./Desmet Jesuit) and freshman Eric Mullery (Miami, Fla./Christopher Columbus) were listed on this week's Northern Division honor roll.
Shrewsbury made played in both contests this weekend as Fordham went 1-1 on the weekend. He had a career-best game against Connecticut College with seven points on two goals and a career-high five assists. He also added a steal and two ejections drawn against the Camels. Prior to Saturday, Shrewsbury's previous-bests were one assist and four points in a game.
Mullery made his first career start on Sunday against Connecticut College. He made a season-high 13 saves, the most by a Fordham goalie this season, while allowing only five goals. He also had one steal in the match.
Shrewsbury, Mullery, and the rest of the Rams (9-9) are out west this week in California. Fordham plays at Cal Baptist on Thursday night and then have two days of competition at the Claremont Convergence Tournament in Claremont, California.
