Golf Is 15th after Day One of the Lincoln Mercury Intercollegiate

Bedminster, N.J. - The Fordham golf team currently sits in 15th place after a windy day one of the Lincoln Mercury Intercollegiate, hosted by Seton Hall at Fiddler's Elbow Country Club in Bedminster, N.J.

Temple leads the 18-team field after an opening round score of 296 (+8), followed by Binghamton (+10 - 298), Villanova (+12 - 300), and St. Francis (Pa.) (+13 - 301). Fordham shot an opening round of 320 (+32).

Binghamton's Jake Katz sits atop the leaderboard after a two-under-par round of 70 on Saturday, followed by a trio of golfers at even par with a 72.

For Fordham, Brody Nieporte is tied for 41st overall after a round of 78 (+6), while both Connor Monahan and Devon O'Rourke shot an 80 (+8), which is tied for 51st. Jason Del Rosso is tied for 69th after a round of 82, with Pat Herlihy (T87th - 85) rounding out the Fordham competitors.

Play at the Lincoln Mercury Intercollegiate will conclude on Sunday at 9:00 AM.
