Bronx, N.Y. -
It was a busy week for Fordham University freshman kicker Patrick Murray (Ramsey, N.J./Don Bosco Prep). Murray joined the team last week and was immediately handled the punting duties, shining in his collegiate debut and earning Patriot League Special Teams Player of the Week honors.
In a 40-28 Liberty Cup loss to Columbia, Murray punted six times for 274 yards, an average of 45.7 yards/punt. Two of his kicks landed inside the Columbia 20, helping the Rams trap the Lions in their own end, while his long on the day was a 54-yarder.
The Rams open their Patriot League schedule this Saturday, September 26th, as they travel to Hamilton, N.Y., to face defending League champions, Colgate, at 6:00 p.m.
