Final Stats

Hamden, Conn. - The Fordham women's tennis team continued play at the Quinnipiac Invitational competition in singles action. All eight Rams' competitors lost in the first round though sophomore Bethany Boyle grabbed a win her consolation match.

Boyle opened up her day with a 6-1, 6-2 loss to Kelly LoRusso from the University of Connecticut, but bounced back in the consolation round, defeating Sacred Heart's Kate Donnelly, 8-5. Boyle's run would end there as her semi-final match against Fairfield's Paulina Rys ended in an 8-6 loss.

Though the rest of the Rams' could not pull out a win, senior Elizabeth Stall put up a strong effort in her first round Flight C match against Army's Holly Pappafotis by winning the second set 6-4 but losing the first and thirds 2-6 and 10-5, respectively.
