The Fordham golf team finished up play at the Bucknell Fall Invitational with an eighth place finish out of 14 teams. The tournament was held at the Bucknell Golf Course in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania.
Bucknell won the team title with a three-round score of 865 (+25), followed by Canisius, Robert Morris, Bucknell "B", Laval, Lafayette, Colgate and Fordham. The Rams shot a three-round score of 897 (+57), which was only five shots out of fifth place.
Bucknell's Andrew Cohen shot a even-par score of 210 to capture the individual title.
For Fordham, Jason Del Rosso was the top finisher in a tie for tenth place overall with a score of 218 (73-73-72). Devon O'Rourke was the Rams' second-best finisher in a tie for 27th with a score of 225 (72-76-77), while David Newman carded a 229 (74-74-81), which tied for 39th. Seeing his first action of the season, Brendan Green tied for 50th overall with a 233 (75-80-78), while Charles Smith tied for 59th with a 238 (85-75-78).
The Fordham golf team will next be in action on Saturday, September 26th, as they open play at the Dartmouth Invitational, held at the Hanover County Club in Hanover, New Hampshire.
