Philadelphia, Pa. -
"On behalf of the Atlantic 10 Conference and its member institutions, we extend our condolences to the family, friends and staff of Dr. Myles Brand. His dedication to education and the student-athlete experience helped shape the vision of intercollegiate athletics in a profound and exemplary manner. Dr. Brand's valuable leadership and stewardship was eclipsed only by the vast number of individuals he influenced in a positive way. It is a great loss to intercollegiate athletics but his inspired leadership, commitment to academic and athletic integrity, sportsmanship and the student-athlete will be long remembered."
Bernadette V. McGlade, Commissioner
