Bronx, N.Y. - The Fordham men's soccer team announced their 2009 schedule today, which will feature 18 regular-season games split between nine non-conference matches, including a trip to the 2009 Lafayette College Classic, and nine Atlantic 10 contests.

After qualifying for the Atlantic 10 Championships for the second straight year with a 5-3-1 conference mark, the Rams look to open the 2009 season on the right foot with a home match-up against Hartwick College on Wednesday, September 2, at 7:00 PM.

Fordham will then be on the road for the next three games, first at Adelphi (Sept. 5), with the final two games of the road trip coming in the 2009 Lafayette College Classic where the Rams will face Lafayette (Sept. 11) and Villanova (Sept. 13).

The Rams return to Rose Hill for a September 18th match against Marist before heading to neighboring Manhattan College on September 23. Fordham will enjoy one more home game, against Central Connecticut University (Sept. 26), before embarking on a four-game road trip.

The trip begins close to home with Rams heading to Columbia (Sept. 29) followed by a non-conference match at the University of Massachusetts (Oct. 3). Fordham opens up Atlantic 10 competition at St. Bonaventure (Oct. 9), with the last stop of the road trip coming at Duquesne (Oct. 11).

The Rams will then enjoy two games in the homely confines of Jack Coffey Field with the first Atlantic 10 home game coming against Richmond (Oct. 16), followed by an October 18th match-up against George Washington.

Two final road games are in store for the Rams on October 23, at Saint Louis, and October 25, at Charlotte, before closing out the regular season with home games against Saint Joseph's (Oct. 30), Temple (Nov. 1) and La Salle (Nov. 8).

The Rams look to earn their third-consecutive Atlantic 10 Championships with this year's tournament being held in Kingston, R.I. from November 12-15.
