Bronx, N.Y. - The Fordham women's soccer team announced their 2009 schedule today, which will feature nine non-conference games and 11 Atlantic 10 contests. Included in those nine non-conference games, the Rams will play four teams from the Big East, one ACC team, and make their first ever west coast trip, playing two games at the University of Nevada.

Fordham, an Atlantic 10 semifinalist in 2008 following two runner-up finishes, will open their 17th season of varsity play at home on Sunday, August 23rd against the University of Maryland from the ACC. It is the first visit to Rose Hill by an ACC team since the Maryland volleyball team participated in the 2005 Rose Hill Classic.

The Rams will then have three of their next four games against Big East Teams, as they play at Rutgers (Aug. 28), host Syracuse (Sept. 4), and play at Seton Hall (Sept. 6). Fordham's final Big East opponent will be Villanova on the road (Sept. 20).
