John Pardini Named 2008 Fordham Men's Soccer MVP

Bronx, N.Y. - As the 2008-09 season begins to wind down, the Fordham University Athletic Department held its 75th annual Block F Awards Dinner at the Villa Barone Manor on April 29th to honor Fordham University's student-athletes for their accomplishments during the academic year. Among those honored was senior John Pardini, who was named men's soccer MVP.

Pardini helped the Rams to their second straight Atlantic 10 tournament appearance and was a nominee for the Hermann award, presented annually to the nation's top collegiate soccer player. He earned First Team All-Atlantic 10 honors for the second straight season, and was named to the All-Mid-Atlantic Region Team for the third time, earning First Team honors for the second straight season. He posted career-highs in every offensive category, scoring two goals and adding five assists for nine points, leading Fordham in assists this season. His five assists tied for eighth most in the Atlantic 10. Pardini also led the Fordham defense to a 0.96 team goals against average and eight shutouts.
