As the 2008-09 season begins to wind down, the Fordham University Athletic Department held its 75th annual Block F Awards Dinner at the Villa Barone Manor on April 29th to honor Fordham University's student-athletes for their accomplishments during the academic year. Among those honored was Brigid Moriarty, who was named women's cross country MVP.
Moriarty's name topped the Rams' result list all season long. She posted five top ten finishes highlighted by a fourth place finish at the ECAC Championship and a ninth place finish at the Metropolitan Championship. Moriarty turned in the fastest Fordham women's cross county time this year, clocking 18:45.1 over the 5K course at the 2009 Atlantic 10 Championship.
