The Fordham golf team was able to get in one of two rounds at the Rehoboth Beach Invitational, played at the Kings Creek Country Club and hosted by the University of Pennsylvania. The Rams finished eighth out of nine teams in the rain shortened event.
Fordham finished with a team score of 327, nine strokes back of Lafayette for seventh place. Maryland won the team title with a score of 296.
Individually, Maryland's John Popeck and Penn's Brett Rendina tied for the individual title with Popeck winning the tournament in a playoff.
For Fordham, Devon O'Rourke and Nik Andresen both tied for 32nd to lead the Rams, as both shot an 81. Charles Smith was just a stroke behind in 36th with an 82, while Zach Murray shot an 83, which tied for 41st. Nico Mizono rounded out the Fordham contingent in 51st with a 93.
The Fordham golf team will next be in action on Tuesday, April 14th, as they compete at the Peacock Invitational, held at the Neshanic Valley Golf Course in Neshanic Station, New Jersey.
