The Fordham men's tennis team dropped their match against Temple this afternoon on the Hawthorn/Rooney Tennis Courts by a final score of 7-0.
With the loss, Fordham is now 5-7 overall on the year.
The match started with the Owls earning the doubles point, sweeping all three matches. Filip Rams and Eduardo Saavedra topped Dallas Harting and Nick Kelly by an 8-2 final, while Ricardo Velazquez and Mansur Gishkaev defeated Sotiris Georgiou and Peter Slucky, 8-1. Nathan Spunda and Dmitry Vazhunov completed the sweep with an 8-3 win over Eli Plangger and Andriy Kulak.
In singles' play, the Owls swept all six singles' matches in straight sets. The best Fordham performance was at first singles, where Fordham's Dallas Harting fell to Nathan Spunda by a 6-1, 6-4 score.
The Fordham men's tennis team will next be in action on Monday, April 6th, when they host Saint Joseph's, beginning at 3:00 PM.
