Fordham's Matt DiBuono Named Atlantic 10 Men's Outdoor Track & Field Co-Performer of the Week

Philadelphia, pa. - Fordham senior Matt DiBuono (New Rochelle, N.Y./Iona Prep) was named Atlantic 10 Men's Outdoor Track & Field Co-Performer of the Week, for the week ending April 26th, it was announced today. DiBuono, who shares the award with Duquesne Derek Dutille, earns his fourth Atlantic 10 Track & Field Performer of the Week award this year after winning the award four times in 2007-08.

DiBuono captured the College Hammer Throw title at the 2009 Penn Relays on April 25th, winning the event with a throw of 206' 11".

On the year, DiBuno has set the school record in the hammer throw with a toss of 213' 5" at the 2009 Metropolitan Outdoor Championships on April 19th, which is the top mark in the Atlantic 10 this season.

DiBuono entered the outdoor off a very successful indoor season in which he won the Atlantic 10 weight throw title and took third at the IC4A Indoor Championship with a school-record throw of 63' 7.5". The throw surpassed his own school mark of 61' 10.25" set at the Atlantic 10 Championship and earned DiBuono All-East honors.
