Littlestown, Pa. - The Fordham golf team had their final tune up for the Atlantic 10 Championship at the Mt. St. Mary's Spring Invitational, which concluded on Tuesday. The Rams tied for 10th overall out of 13 teams at the Quail Valley Golf Club in Littlestown, Pennsylvania.

The Rams finished with a score of 655, which tied with Wagner College for tenth. Army won the overall team title with a score of 591.

Individually, Army's Matt Krembel won the tournament with a two-round total of 141 (68-73).

Fordham had a much better second day, shooting 311, after a day one score of 344. For Fordham, Devon O'Rourke recorded his first top ten finish, as he was ninth overall, shooting rounds of 78 and 72 for a total score of 150. The round of 72 was a season-best round for O'Rourke this year.

Besides O'Rourke, Charles Smith tied for 41st with a score of 161 (83-78), followed by Nik Andresen, who tied for 55th with a total of 167 (89-78). Nico Mizono (95-83-178) and Zach Murray (94-85-178) rounded out the Ram competitors, finishing 65th and 66th overall.

The Rams will now compete in the 2009 Atlantic 10 Golf Championship, held at the Mission Inn Resort & Club in Howey-in-the Hills, Florida.
