Monroeville, Pa. - Fordham senior Dominique Liguori closed out another undefeated singles season with a 6-0, 6-1 win over Dayton's Loni Dickerhoof at the 2009 Atlantic 10 Championship on Saturday afternoon at the Club for Life. Unfortunately, Liguori was the only winner for the tenth-seeded Rams, who fell to the eleventh-seeded Flyers, 4-1. Both teams finished in a ninth place tie at the championship.

Liguori closed out the season with a perfect 19-0 singles record, her second straight perfect singles season. She brings her career record to an amazing 57-3.

Dayton opened the match by taking the doubles point, winning both completed doubles matches. Fordham's Sarah Tremaine and Kathryn Silva were upended by Dickerhoof and Cheslea Glankler at second doubles, 8-0, while Bethany Boyle and Elizabeth Stall lost at third doubles to Laina Grote and Molly Matthews, 8-5. Liguori and Martina Featherston were ahead of Dayton's Nikki Dzubay and Kelly O'Connell, 8-7, when the match was halted.

In singles play, Featherston lost to Grote at the second spot (6-1, 6-2) while Tremaine dropped third singles to Glankler (6-0, 6-2) and Silva was upended at fifth singles by O'Connell (6-1, 6-1).
