Men's Track Competes at St. John's Monday Meeting

Jamaica, N.Y. - Members of the Fordham University men's outdoor track and field program competed at the St. John's Monday Meeting on April 13th with Andrew Spanos leading the way, winning the 3000m Steeplechase.

Spanos covered the steeplechase course in a Fordham season-best time of 10:13.92, over a minute ahead of runner-up Drew Gangemi of St. Thomas Aquinas.

Steven Dickinson competed in both hurdle events for Fordham, placing third in his section of the 400m hurdles (1:01.87) and sixth in the 110m hurdles (18.03).

Also competing for the Rams were Rich Grandelli, who won his section of the 800m (2:03.19), Michael Walsh, who placed fifth in his section of the 1500m (4:32.10), Matt Collins, who was seventh in his section of the 1500m (4:34.43), Elliot Talbot, who was eighth in his section of the 1500m (4:36.30), Brandon Long, who took eighth in his section of the 100m (13.25), Chris Cavanaugh, who took ninth in his section of the 1500m (4:36.88), Brendan Banks, who placed tenth in his section of the 1500m (4:43.13), and Chris Granucci, who was 12th in his section of the 800m (2:24.67).

The Fordham outdoor track and field squad will next be in action on Saturday
