The Fordham men's tennis team dropped their match at Fairfield this afternoon by a final score of 7-0.
With the loss, Fordham is now 5-6 overall on the year.
The match started with the Stags earning the doubles point, sweeping all three matches. Joe Michalison and Rob Ferrante topped Dallas Harting and Nick Kelly by an 8-4 final, while Dan Sauter and Ryan Berthod defeated Andriy Kulak and Brandon Abbatiello, 8-2. Bob Kelly and Chip Palumbo completed the sweep with an 8-5 win over Eli Plangger and Ken Fukumoto.
In singles' play, the Stags won all but one match in straight sets. At sixth singles, Fordham's Peter Slucky took Chris Bane to the limit, but eventually fell, 7-5, 3-6, and 10-5.
The Fordham men's tennis team will next be in action on April 1st, when they play at Rider, beginning at 3:00 PM.
