Richmond, Va. - The Fordham University women's rowing squad opened the 2009 spring season by competing against the University of Richmond on March 18th on the James River.

The Rams only competed in the freshman four events, entering three shells. The Fordham A boat finished first, easily defeating the Fordham C shell with the C shell edging out Richmond for second place. The Fordham B boat crossed the line behind about two boat length Richmond.
