After a week off, the Fordham men's basketball squad returns to Atlantic 10 action today when they take on the George Washington University Colonials in the Smith Center at 1:00 p.m. in a game that will be televised live nationally on the CBS College Sports Network. The Rams will be without the service of senior forward Chris Bethel, who will miss the rest of the 2009 men's basketball season due to an injury suffered against Saint Louis last Saturday it was announced by head coach Dereck Whittenburg.
Bethel appeared in all 19 games for the Rams this year, starting 12, averaging 10.3 ppg, third best on the team, and a team-best 6.5 rpg, ninth in the Atlantic 10. He also has 24 steals, 13 blocks and 12 assists.
Over his career, Bethel appeared in 75 games, starting 15. He averaged 5.4 ppg and 2.8 rpg while also recording 44 steals, 28 blocks and 20 assists.

The Rams enter the game with a 3-16 overall record, 1-6 in the Atlantic 10. George Washington enters the game with a 6-13 overall record, 0-7 the conference. They are looking to snap an eleven-game losing streak.
