Charlotte, N.C. - Staying true to virtually every match-up between Fordham and Charlotte in women's soccer, Friday's night Atlantic 10 semifinal match came down to the final minutes of regulation, where Charlotte's India Winford scored with 1:14 remaining to give the 49ers a 2-1 win over the Rams.

As fans were still filing into their seats at Transamerica Field, Fordham (9-12-1) capitalized on a Charlotte turnover to score the game's first goal. The Rams' Annie Worden picked up a Charlotte defender turnover and scored to the top left corner, just 46 seconds into the game. It was her team-leading seventh goal of the season.

Fordham just missed making it a two-goal lead at the 10:00 mark, but Leah Loguidice's shot hit the crossbar.

Charlotte (16-2-2) would later tie the game at one in the 28th minute. Sam Huecker collected a bouncing ball in the box and ripped a shot into the left corner for her second tally of the year.

The half ended with the tie score with the team's fairly even on the stat sheet. Charlotte registered six shots to Fordham's four, while having one more corner than the Rams at 4-3.

The Rams looked to retake the lead in the second half on shots by Katie McDermott and Loguidice in the 62nd minute, but both were stopped by Charlotte goalkeeper Lauren Brown.

Charlotte then had an opportunity on a header by Lacey McGowan in the 78th minute, but that shot bounced off the crossbar, keeping the game tied.

The 49ers however would get that second goal in the 89th minute. From the sideline, Megan Minnix put in a diagonal cross to goal, where India Winford scored her third goal of the season, advancing Charlotte to the A-10 Championship game, and ending the Rams' season.

In net, Charlotte's Lauren Brown made four saves in the win, while Rachel Suther and Sarah Zieman each played a half for Fordham, making two saves each.

Following the Championship, Fordham's Leah Loguidice and Katie McDermott were selected to the All-Championship team.
