Bronx, N.Y. - Fordham University freshman placekicker Kevin Heinowitz (Oakland, N.J./Indian Hills) was named Patriot League Rookie of the Week for the week ending November 1st it was announced by the league office today. It is the second weekly award for Heinowitz, who was named Patriot League Special Teams Player of the Week back on October 5th.

In a 41-27 Patriot League loss to Holy Cross on Saturday, Heinowitz connected on both of his field goal attempts and all three of his extra points. He made field goals of 27 and 30 yards to help Fordham stay within 24-13 at the half, the 30-yarder coming on the final play of the half.

On the year, Heinowitz is 5-for-10 in field goal attempts, with a long of 35 yards, while converting 22 of his 27 PATs.

The Rams (3-5, 0-3) will host Bucknell University in a Patriot League game this Saturday, November 7th, at 1:00 p.m.
