Philadelphia, Pa. - Fordham freshman Annie Worden (Silver Spring, Md./Montgomery Blair) was named Atlantic 10 Women's Soccer Rookie of the Week for the week ending October 4th. It is her first career weekly award and the first by a Fordham women's soccer player this season.

Worden was at the center of a dominant performance on Sunday against Xavier University. She netted a pair of goals in the 4-0 win over the Musketeers. Her first goal came in the 28th minute to give Fordham a 2-0 lead, while her other tally came in the 86th minute to seal the game.

Worden is tied for the team lead in goals (3) and points (7) this season.

Worden and the rest of the Fordham women's soccer team will next be in action on Friday, October 9th, when they play at Rhode Island, beginning at 7:00 PM
