Fordham's Ryan Hultman Named NCAA.com National Water Polo Player of the Week

Bronx, N.Y. - Following a superb week of action, Fordham University junior Ryan Hultman (Newport Beach, Calif./Corona del Mar) was named NCAA.com National Water Polo Player of the Week it was announced today. He was also selected as the CWPA Northern Division Player of the Week, joining Mikey Edwards as a conference award recipient this season.

Hultman was a one-person wrecking crew in three CWPA matches this past week, netting 15 goals to go with four steals and two assists. On Wednesday, he scored a career-high nine goals on 13 attempts to go with two steals in an 11-10 win over Queens College. His previous high was five, which he matched in the first quarter alone. On Saturday, Hultman scored a hat trick in each of the Rams' victories at Harvard and at MIT.

Hultman currently ranks third on the Rams with 27 goals on the season in 18 games played.

Hultman and the rest of the Fordham water polo team will next be in action on Wednesday, October 28th, when they host their regualr season finale against the Iona College Gaels at 7:30 PM at the Col. Francis B. Messmore Aquatic Center.
