Poughkeepsie, N.Y. - The Fordham women's tennis team wrapped up play at the Marist Invitational on Sunday, posting five victories in 12 matches in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. Overall, Fordham won 13 of 24 matches at the tournament.

Fordham opened day two in singles play against Providence College, where the Rams won two of six matches. Taylor Holt continued her impressive play with a fourth singles win over Melissa Ferry, 6-3 and 6-3. Elizabeth Stall also won her fifth singles match over Jen Cusack, 7-5 and 6-3.

The Rams just missed a second singles win, as Martina Featherston fell to Ayushi Sinha, 3-6, 6-4, and 10-6.

Fordham then matched up in doubles against Siena, where the Rams took two of three matches. Featherston and Sarah Tremaine teamed up for a first doubles win over Jasleen Sandhu and Nicole Ross, 8-5, while Bethany Boyle and Holt combined for an 8-6 win at second doubles over Lauren Moy and Jessica Asselin.

In their final match-up, Fordham managed one of three doubles wins over Albany. Holt and Boyle finished a perfect weekend together with a second doubles win over Aubrey Brooks and Caitlin Crowley by a score of 8-6.

The Fordham women's tennis team will next be in action on Friday, October 16th, when they play at Massachusetts, beginning at 1:00 PM.
