Philadelphia, Pa. - Fordham freshman Kevin Fitzgerald (New Orleans, La./Jesuit) was named Atlantic 10 Men's Indoor Track & Field Co-Rookie of the Week for the week ending January 11th. This is Fitzgerald's first career Atlantic 10 weekly award.

In the Rams' first weekend of competition following Christmas Break, Fitzgerald helped the men's distance medley relay to an event win at the Metropolitan Coaches Invitationaon on January 9th with a time of 10:31.56.

Fitzgerald then followed with a sixth place finish in the mile at the Yale Collegiate Invitational on January 10th in a time of 4:30.06. In relay action, he ran a leg of the 4x800 relay at Yale, helping the team finish in sixth with a time of 8:09.31.

The Fordham Track and Field team will next be in action on Friday, January 16th, as they compete at the NYU Gotham Cup, held at the 168th St. Armory, beginning at 1:00 PM.
