West Point, N.Y. - Fordham's Dominique Liguori, the number one seed at first singles, picked up two victories on Saturday to advance to the final of the 2008 Eastern Collegiate Invitational being held at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.

Following a three-set victory on Friday, Ligouri started day two with a straight set victory over Pittsburgh's Minh Evans, 6-0 and 6-1.

She then advanced to Sunday's final with another straight set victory over UMBC's Ana Mungro in the semifinals. Ligouri won the first set 6-2 and led the second set, 1-0, before Mungro had to retire due to injury.

Ligouri will face second-seeded Anne Houghton of Army in the first singles' final on Sunday, September 28th. Match time is set for 9:15 AM.
