Golf in Takes Seventh at Dartmouth Invitational

The Fordham golf team closed out play at the 2008 Dartmouth Invitational at the Hanover Country Club by taking seventh of nine teams.

Bryant won the team title with a score of 591, two better than the host school, Dartmouth, who shot a 593. Quinnipiac placed third (600) followed by Central Connecticut (613) Saint Anselm College A team (621), Saint Anselm College B team (627) and Fordham (629).

Devon O'Rourke paced the Rams, shooting a 76 over the first 18 holes and a 75 on day two for a two-day total of 151, tying him for 12th overall. Nik Andresen and Charles Smith, who did not count in the Fordham scoring, each shot a two-day total of 160, to tie for 34th overall.

Nico Mizono rebounded from an 83 on the first day to card a 78 on day two, tying him for 36th overall with a 161. Trevor Seufer (81-80) and Zach Murray (79-82) each also registered a 161 to tie Mizono for 34th.

The Rams will next be in action on September 27th and 28th as they compete in the Cornell Invitational at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Course in Ithaca, N.Y.
