Donato Callara Named Fordham Men's Swimming and Diving Most Valuable Player

Bronx, N.Y. - Fordham University senior diver Donato Callara was named the 2007-08 men's swimming and diving Most Valuable Player it was announced at the 74th annual Block F Awards Dinner at the Villa Barone Manor on April 30th.

Callara, a record-setting performer throughout his Fordham career, graduates as the Fordham record holder on both the one and three meter boards. He capped his career by earning Second Team All-Atlantic 10 honors in the one-meter event (592.40) while placing third on the three-meter board (562.55), with both of his scores breaking Fordham records. He also received Academic All-Conference accolades for the second straight year in 2007-08.
