Fordham University senior Matt Lowenthal (East Meadow, N.Y./Kellenberg) was named the 2007 men's cross country most valuable player it was announced at the 74th annual Block F Awards Dinner at the Villa Barone Manor on April 30th.
Lowenthal, the indoor track MVP last season, finished in the top 15 at five different races in his final cross country campaign. Included in those top 15 finishes were a win at the Leeber Invitational as well as a seventh place finish at the IC4A championship where he recorded Fordham's fastest cross country time of the season (26.14).
Lowenthal also placed third at the St. John's Fall Festival while taking 14th at both the Ram Invitational and the Metropolitan Championships.
