Bronx, N.Y. - Fordham Athletics sends its deepest condolences to the family and friends of former Fordham track and field athlete Joe Grana, class of 1989, who was killed in a plane crash.

On Sunday, April 27th, Grana piloted a plane that crashed in Richmond, Virginia. Sadly, his father was a passenger on the plane and also died.

A memorial service will be held for Grana on Saturday, May 17th at 6:30pm at St. Francis Xavier Church at 30 West 16th Street in Manhattan.

Grana, a graduate of Chaminade High School, was a member of the Fordham track & field team from 1986-88, where he ran the mile and mid-distance events.
