The Fordham golf team wrapped up play this afternoon at the Yale Spring Open on The Yale Course. The Rams finished tied for 20th with Lafayette, with a total of 27 teams competing.
The Rams ended the tournament with a total score of 623 (304-319), 38 strokes back of Harvard, who won the championship with a score of 585.
Individually, Bryant's Jason Thresher and Harvard's Michael Shore tied for first, carding a two-day total of 143 (+3).
Scoring for Fordham were Charles Sterken, who finished tied for 65th with a two-day total of 153 (74-79), followed by Michael Finocchi in a tie for 73rd with a score of 154 (75-79). Joseph Neydon, Fordham's day one leader, fell back to a tie for 90th overall with a score of 157 (73-84), with Nico Mizono tying for 103rd place (82-77-159).
Also competing, but not counting towards the team score, was Zach Murray, who tied for 119th overall (79-84-163).
The Fordham golf team will next play at the Lafayette Spring Invitational on April 12-13 at the Center Valley Club in Center Valley, Pa.
