Fordham's Dominique Liguori Named Second Team All-Atlantic 10 for Women's Tennis

Philadelphia, Pa. - Fordham University junior Dominique Liguori (Hartsdale, N.Y./The Ursuline School) was named Second Team All-Atlantic 10 in women's tennis, in voting among the Conference's head coaches following the 2008 Atlantic 10 Women's Tennis Championship. This is the second straight year in which Liquori received All-Conference honors, being named to the First Team in 2006-07.

Playing at first singles in 2007-08, Liguori compiled a perfect 12-0 record in dual match action while also notching an 11-2 record playing with Ellenoira Featherston at first doubles.

Liguori also appeared at the 2007 ITA Women's East Regionals held in October at Old Dominion University. Entering play seeded 29th, she fell in the round of 64 to Binghamton's Anna Edelman, 7-5 and 6-4.

In doubles action, Liguori and Ellenoira Featherston took their first round match at the East Regionals, defeating Columbia's Lauren Shearer and Stephanie Zilberman, 8-4, before falling in the round of 32 to 14th-seeded Lauren Burns and Vera Petrashevich of VCU, 8-6.
