Monroeville, Pa. - The Fordham University women's tennis squad closed out play at the 2008 Atlantic 10 Championship with a 4-2 win over St. Bonaventure on Saturday afternoon at the Club for Life. With the win, the Rams finish in a ninth place tie.

Fordham opened the match by dropping the doubles point, losing both completed doubles matches. Fordham's Martina Featherston and Catherine Kellner fell at second doubles to Ana Delgado and Vanessa Rumpel, 8-3, while Brittany Russell and Elizabeth Stall lost to Anna Martorell and Maria Barousse at third doubles, 8-2.

But Fordham won the match by winning four singles matches, led by Dominique Liguori who won at first singles in straight sets over Anna Perevesentzeva, 6-1 and 6-3.

Catherine Kellner took second singles for the Rams with a 6-3, 6-1 win over Yolande Callaghan while Ellenoira Featherston was victorious over Delgado at third singles, 6-3 and 6-4. Fordham also won at fifth singles with Stall defeating Rumpel (7-5, 6-3).
