Bronx, N.Y. - Sacred Heart's Kirill Kasyanov defeated Fordham's Dallas Harting in straight sets at first singles while teammate Chris Ujkic upended Austin Shoup at second singles to lead Sacred Heart to a 7-0 win over Fordham on the Hawthorn/Rooney Courts. With the loss, the Rams fall to 1-14 on the year while Sacred Heart improves to 10-15.

Fordham opened the match by dropping the doubles point to Sacred Heart, dropping two of the three doubles matches. Harting and Shoup lost at first doubles to Ujkic and Mike Syer, 9-8 (7-5) while Sotiris Georgiou and Peter Slucky dropped second doubles to Kasyanov and Nick Mazzarese, 8-4. Fordham's Ken Fukumoto and Nick Kelly lost at third doubles to Jinal Shah and Cole Conrad, 8-2.

The Pioneers then completed the shut out by taking all six singles matches. Brandon Abbatiello almost picked up a win for the Rams at third singles, winning the first set from Mazzarese, 6-4, before dropping the second, 6-4. Tool then pushed Mazzarese to the limit in the tie-breaker before falling 11-9.

Kasyanov defeated Harting at first singles by scores of 6-3 and 6-1 while Ujkic took Shoup at second singles, 6-4 and 6-4. At fourth singles, Pat Tool was upended by Syer in straight sets (6-3, 6-2) while Georgiou fell to Shah, 6-4 and 6-2, and Slucky fell to Conrad at sixth singles, 6-2 and 6-1.

The Rams will next be in action on Saturday, April 19th, as they host Holy Cross on the Hawthorn/Rooney Courts at 12:00 p.m.
