Philadelphia, Pa. - Fordham University freshman infielder/outfielder Jocelyn Dearborn (New Milford, Pa./Blue Ridge) earned Atlantic 10 Softball Co-Rookie of the Week honors it was announced today. This is Dearborn's third Rookie of the Week award, matching the three fellow Fordham freshman Beckah Wiggins has won this season.

Dearborn hit .407 with two home runs and eight RBI this week as Forhdam went 6-2. She tied the Fordham freshman record for home runs in a season (7) and became just the third Fordham freshman to have 40 RBI or more. She posted three multi-hit games, and hit safely in six of eight contests.

Dearborn currently leads the Rams with seven home runs, 40 RBI, 78 total bases, and a .614 slugging percentage.

The Fordham softball team (21-21, 5-5 Atlantic 10) has a busy week in front of them. They open the week with a doubleheader at St. Peter's on Tuesday, and then play at Hofstra for a single game on Wednesday. The Rams then wrap up the week with a conference doubleheader at home against Charlotte.
