Golf Currently 16th At Lafayette Invitational

Center Valley, Pa. - After fighting through a fog delay, the Fordham golf team finally opened play at the Lafayette Invitational on Saturday afternoon, held at the Center Valley Country Club. The Rams are currently 16th out of 25 teams in the two-day event.

Drexel University currently leads the field with a team score of 286. Fordham posted a day one total of 313.

Individually, Duquesne's Brendan Madden and Siena's Dan Abbondandolo are tied for first after shooting rounds of 70.

Nico Mizono shot the best round of the day for the Rams with an opening round of 76, good for a tie for 34th overall, while Michael Finocchi was two shots back with a 78, which is tied for 51st overall. Joseph Neydon carded a 79 on day one, good for a tie for 62nd, while Trevor Seufer shot an 80 (T68th).

Zach Murray is also competing for Fordham with a day one score of 88 (115th), but did not score.

Competition at the Lafayette Invitational will conclude on Sunday.
