Fordham's Bryant Dunston Named Second Team All-Atlantic 10

Philadelphia, Pa. - Fordham University senior forward Bryant Dunston (Queens, N.Y./St. John's Prep) was named 2008 Second Team All-Atlantic 10 by a vote of league coaches it was announced today. Dunston, who was also named to the All-Defensive Team, receives Second Team All-Conference honors for the second straight year.

On the season, Dunston leads the Rams in scoring, averaging 15.5 ppg, and rebounding, averaging an Atlantic 10 best 10.0 rpg. He also leads the 2007-08 squad in blocks with 76 and has recorded 56 assists and 28 steals. Besides rebounding, Dunston ranks among the Atlantic 10 leaders in scoring (11th), field goal percentage (.525) and blocks (second).

Dunston has recorded an Atlantic 10-best 15 doubles-doubles this year, including eight in the past nine games. He now has 40 career double-doubles.

Over his four-year career, Dunston has appeared in 119 career games, starting 117, amassing 1,815 career points, good for second place on the Fordham all-time scoring list. He also has 988 career rebounds, good for third all-time at Rose Hill, and this winter he became Fordham's career blocked shots leader, currently registering 291 career rejections.

Dunston, the 2005 Atlantic 10 Rookie of the year, has received All-Atlantic 10 accolades all four years at Fordham, earning First Team honors as a sophomore in 2005-06 and Second Team honors in 2004-05.

The 12th-seeded Rams (12-16) open the 2008 Atlantic 10 Championship on Wednesday, March 12th, as they face the fifth-seeded Saint Joseph's University Hawks at 2:30 p.m. in Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, N.J.
