Philadelphia, Pa. - Fordham senior Matt DiBuono (New Rochelle, N.Y./Iona Prep) was named Atlantic 10 Men's Indoor Track & Field Performer of the Week, for the week ending December 7th, it was announced today. This is DiBuono's fifth career Performer of the Week award as he won four last year (two indoor and two outdoor).

DiBuono opened the 2008-09 indoor season by winning both the weight throw and shot put at the 2008 Fordham Opener on Friday night in the Vincent T. Lombardi Memorial Center.

DiBuono, who earned Second Team All-Atlantic 10 honors in the weight throw the past two years, won the event with a toss of 60' 10.75", just 7.5" short of his school record, while he took gold in the shot put with a throw of 47' 7.25".

The Fordham Track and Field team will next be in action on Friday night, December 12th, as they host the 2008 Fordham Christmas Classic in the Lombardi Center beginning at 3:00 p.m.
