Bronx, N.Y. - Fordham University softball coach Bridget Orchard announced the hiring of Mike Forsythe as the Rams' pitching coach, it was announced today.

Forsythe brings over 46 years of fastpitch softball experience to Rose Hill. Most recently, he served as pitching coach for the Akron Racers of the Women's National Pro Fastpitch League.

Prior to Akron, Forsythe served as a pitching coach at both the collegiate and high school levels. His experience on the collegiate level includes stints as the pitching coach at Quinnipiac University, Southern Connecticut State University, and Southwest Michigan College.

In addition to coaching, he has been the lead softball instructor at Integrated Sports Training in Norwalk, Connecticut, giving lessons to a variety of age groups, while also being a featured pitching instructor at clinics and camps throughout the East Coast and Midwest.

Forsythe attended Elmhurst College from 1973 to 1977.
