Littlestown, Pa. - The Fordham University golf squad wrapped up the 2008 Mount St. Mary's Fall Classic with a ninth place finish of 11 teams at the Quail Valley Golf Course in the Rams' final competition of the fall season.
Monmouth and Long Island University finished in a tie for first with team scores of 616, with Monmouth winning the team title in a playoff. Fairfield took third (622) followed by FDU (635) and the Mount St. Mary's "B" team (637). The Rams placed ninth with a team score of 653, seven strokes behind the Mount St. Mary's "A" team.
LIU's Greg Nicolson won the individual title, shooting a two-round total of 148, followed by FDU's Robert Cerabone (151) and Monmouth's Michael McComb and Duquesne's Ben Wolf, who tied for third with a 152 total.
Pacing the Fordham squad was Nico Mizono, who shot an 85 on the second day for a two-day total of 156, tying him for 12th overall. Devon O'Rourke carded an 86 on day two for a total score of 162, tying him for 28th, while Trevor Seufer shot an 83 over the second 18 holes, bringing his score to 165 for the tournament, placing him in a tie for 35th. Nik Andresen (87-83 - 170, T43rd) and Charles Smith (87-87 - 174, 49th) also competed for the Rams.
