Philadelphia, Pa. - Fordham University senior Ellenoira Featherston (Rockaway Park, N.Y./St. Francis Prep) and freshman Catherine Kellner (Smithtown, N.Y./St. Anthony's) earned Atlantic 10 weekly honors, as Featherston was named Performer of the Week for the first time in her career, while Kellner received her first Rookie of the Week honor. These are the first weekly honors for any women's tennis player this season.

Featherston, a Second Team All-Atlantic 10 selection last season, competed at the Army Invitational against Army & Seton Hall this weekend. She posted a 2-1 singles record at the #2 slot, and a 3-0 record at first doubles. She partnered with Dominique Ligouri to defeat Seton Hall's top doubles team, 8-3, Army "Gold"'s top team, 8-4, and Army "Black"'s top doubles team, 9-7. In singles play, Featherston defeated Army "Gold" Charlee Warford, 8-3, at second singles, as well as Army "Black" Bridie Burke, 8-3. Her only loss of the weekend came to Seton Hall's Nadia Shein, 8-1.

Kellner posted a 2-1 singles record at the #1 slot, and a 1-2 record at second doubles at the Army Invitational. She partnered with Martina Featherston to defeat Army "Gold"'s second doubles team, 8-3, but lost to Army "Black"'s second doubles team, 8-3, and Seton Hall's, 9-7. Kellner defeated Army "Gold" Jessica Shurtz, 8-2, at first singles, as well as Army "Black" Caitlin Finnegan, 8-1. Her only singles loss came to Seton Hall's Denise Liebschner, 8-1, at first singles.

The Fordham Women's Tennis team will next be in action on Saturday, February 2nd, when they play at Seton Hall, beginning at 6:00 PM.
